Patience, trust and good care

We are very fond of our moose and we do everything possible for them to have the best life possible here at Elgtun. As a center of expertise on moose we have both an obligation and a unique opportunity to study and learn about the moose way of life. This knowledge is something we wish to share with everyone, and by doing so contribute to the best possible care of the wild populations.

Moose in Norwegian, German and English

There is a huge interest about moose among our foreign visitors and we make sure that all information is available in three languages. That goes for booklets, signs and of course our very talented guides.

The feedback from our guests have been overwhelming and we wish to thank each and every one for the excitement and thrust they show us when we take them into the realm of the forest king.

Maren

KEEPER AND GUIDE
Maren has tons of experience with horses and uses her skills when she is around the moose. Some of the moose has even learned some tricks by using click-training techniques.

KEEPER AND GUIDE German
Johannes is German and lives at Landeskogen the whole year. That makes him the daily human contact the moose has during the off-peak season.
